What I Offer
How I Can Help
Every session is shaped around the person in front of me — their strengths, their needs, and the music that moves them.
Music therapy is not a one-size-fits-all practice. I offer three distinct areas of service, each grounded in evidence-based methods and delivered with deep personal care. I travel to you — whether that's your home, your child's school, a care facility, or a community space.
Infants through Pre-K
Early Childhood Groups
Where music helps your child grow.
Overview
The earliest years of life are filled with remarkable growth — in language, in movement, in the ability to connect with others. Music is one of the most powerful tools we have for nurturing that growth. My early childhood group sessions bring parents and caregivers together with their little ones in a shared musical space, where rhythm, song, and play become the language of learning.
Who It's For
These sessions are designed for infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children (birth through pre-K) and their parents or primary caregivers. Groups may be offered through early intervention programs, childcare centers, libraries, or community organizations.
What to expect
Sessions are warm, playful, and welcoming — no musical experience required. We use simple instruments, movement, singing, and call-and-response activities to engage children at every developmental stage. Parents and caregivers are active participants, not observers.
Benefits
- Supports language and communication development
- Builds parent-child bonding and attunement
- Encourages motor development through movement and rhythm
- Fosters social-emotional skills in a group setting
- Creates joyful, shared experiences families carry home
Assisted Living & Memory Care Facilities
Memory Care & Senior Living
Music provides seniors with an empowering moment in time.
Overview
Music has a unique relationship with memory. Songs from a person's past can unlock recognition, emotion, and connection even when other forms of communication have become difficult. I work with seniors in memory care units and assisted living communities, using carefully chosen songs to reach residents where they are — and to bring moments of genuine presence and joy.
Who It's For
My services are available to assisted living communities, memory care facilities, adult day programs, and skilled nursing facilities. I work with residents living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other age-related conditions, as well as seniors who simply benefit from the engagement and community that music provides.
What to expect
Sessions may be offered in small groups or one-on-one, depending on the needs of your community. I use live music, familiar repertoire, gentle movement, and reminiscence techniques to engage residents. I collaborate with your care team to align sessions with individual care goals.
Benefits
- Reduces agitation, anxiety, and behavioral symptoms of dementia
- Stimulates long-term memory and verbal expression
- Improves mood and quality of life
- Encourages social engagement and connection
- Provides meaningful activity that honors each resident's history
Children & Adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities
Individualized Sessions
Meeting every person exactly where they are.
Overview
For children and adults with neurodivergent needs, music therapy offers a uniquely accessible path to growth. Music bypasses many of the barriers that make traditional therapies difficult — it is inherently motivating, non-threatening, and adaptable to any communication style or ability level. I design every session around the individual, working toward goals that are meaningful to them and their families.
Who It's For
I work with children and adults across the spectrum of intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals on the autism spectrum, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other conditions. Sessions may be provided in the home, school, day program, or residential setting.
What to expect
Each session is tailored to the individual's goals, preferences, and communication style. We might work on speech and language, social skills, emotional regulation, motor coordination, or simply building a joyful relationship with music. I work closely with families and support teams to ensure sessions are integrated into the broader care picture.
Benefits
- Supports communication and language goals
- Builds social and emotional skills
- Encourages self-expression and confidence
- Improves attention, focus, and engagement
- Provides a motivating, strengths-based therapeutic experience
